Our Story Fueling Franchise Success
I’m Deb Tandy, CEO and Franchise Consultant, and I’m here to support you, connect you with valuable resources, and ensure you make a smart investment decision.
My professional background includes experience in healthcare, 16 years in the automotive industry, and over 12 years as a successful retail franchise owner. While in the automotive industry, I earned my MBA and gained valuable business and leadership experience. After being laid off from my automotive industry job following 9/11, I re-evaluated my career goals. I worked in a new position for about a year before deciding to focus on raising my family.
After taking time off to raise my children, I decided to become an entrepreneur and purchased a Learning Express Toys retail franchise. This was a life-changing journey for my family and me. As a franchisee, I applied all my educational and professional experience. I was actively involved in the franchise system, and I was invited to participate in both the company’s Franchise Advisory Council and Marketing Advisory Council, where I helped shape the direction for 140 nationwide franchise stores. I also assisted in creating a five-year strategic plan for Learning Express Toys Inc., leveraging my achievements to contribute to the company’s future success. I truly valued the flexibility, autonomy, and financial rewards that came with owning this franchise. My children also had the opportunity to witness firsthand what it means to balance family life with being an entrepreneur and a company leader. After 12 wonderful and financially successful years as a business owner, I sold my franchise.
After careful consideration, I chose to become a franchise advisor to make a difference in people’s lives by using my experience and industry knowledge to help them launch their entrepreneurial careers. Relationship building has always been central to everything I’ve achieved, both professionally and personally. I am excited to work with individuals who are exploring the benefits of business ownership and to guide them through the process of finding the right fit to make their hopes and dreams a reality.
