Our Story Fueling Franchise Success
Deb Tandy, CEO and Franchise Consultant, is here to provide support, make connections, and ensure that you make a smart investment decision. Deb has professional experience in the healthcare field, 16 years in the automotive industry, and as a successful retail franchise owner for more than 12 years. While in the automotive industry, Deb earned an MBA and gained valuable business and leadership experience. After 9/11, Deb was laid off from her job in the auto industry which led her to re-evaluate her goals. She worked in a new position for about a year then decided that it was time to raise a family.
After taking time off to raise her children, Deb took the opportunity to become an entrepreneur and purchased a Learning Express Toys retail franchise. This was a life-changing journey for Deb and her family. As a franchisee, Deb was able to put all her educational and professional experience to work. She was active within the franchise, and was invited to participate in the company’s Franchise Advisory Council and Marketing Advisory Council setting the tone for 140 nationwide franchise stores. Deb also assisted with creating a five year strategic plan for Learning Express Toys Inc., using her personal achievements to drive the company’s future success. She loved the flexibility, autonomy, and financial rewards that owning this franchise afforded her. Her children were able to experience what it is like to balance family life with being an entrepreneur and the leader of a company. After 12 wonderful and financially successful years of being a business owner, Deb sold her franchise.
After careful consideration, Deb chose to become a franchise advisor to make a difference in people’s lives by using her experience and industry knowledge to help them launch their entrepreneurial careers. Relationship building has been at the core of everything she has accomplished, professionally and personally. She is excited to work with people who are exploring the benefits of business ownership and to help guide them through the process of finding the right fit and making their hopes and dreams a reality.
